## Your own firsts

Add the moments no checklist has, like a first laugh or a first tooth. HiLo Baby keeps the date, and your partner sees it on their phone.

## For a baby born early

Set the due date, and the checklists use your baby's adjusted age until 2 years, as the CDC suggests for a baby born more than 3 weeks early.

## If you're worried

You know your child best. Don't wait. If your child is not meeting one or more milestones, has lost skills they once had, or you have other concerns, act early. Talk with your child's doctor, share your concerns, and ask about developmental screening.

Learn the Signs. Act Early. materials are not a substitute for standardized, validated developmental screening tools. HiLo Baby keeps track of what you tick and gives no medical advice.

## Where the checklists come from

Milestones and tips from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's "Learn the Signs. Act Early." program, available at no charge at cdc.gov/ActEarly.

HiLo Baby is not affiliated with CDC. Use of this material does not imply endorsement by CDC, HHS or the United States Government.

## Questions about milestones

### Where do the milestones come from?

From the CDC's "Learn the Signs. Act Early." checklists, for 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months and 2, 2½, 3, 4 and 5 years. Each age links to its checklist on cdc.gov. HiLo Baby is not affiliated with CDC.

### Can I track baby firsts that aren't on the checklist?

Yes. Add your own, like a first smile, and HiLo Baby keeps the date it happened.

### Does my partner see the milestones I tick?

Yes. Ticks and firsts are part of the shared log, so everyone in it sees them on their own phone.

### My baby was born early. Which age does it use?

If you set a due date, the checklist uses your baby's adjusted age, as the CDC suggests for babies born more than 3 weeks early.

### Does HiLo Baby tell me if my baby is behind?

No. HiLo Baby keeps track of what you tick. It isn't medical advice or a screening tool. If you're worried about your baby, talk to your doctor.

### Is the milestone tracker free?

Yes. The checklists, your own firsts and the milestone notes are free, on iPhone, Android and the web.
