Add your email in the browser to back up the log, then sign in with the same email in the app. The log comes across, and the browser and the phone stay in sync.

Yes, once it is backed up. In the browser, add your email to back up the log, then sign in with the same email in the app. A log with no email yet stays in the browser it was started in.
